Hey, beautiful soul! I'm SO tickled that you're here with me today because Clue #2 of our 2023 Mystery Knit Along (MKAL) has landed! Are you ready for the next section? I sure do hope so because we're going to jump headlong into the Mosaic knitting section of the project. Here's how the MKAL works...

Each month in 2023, we'll release another clue along with yarn color recommendations and a video tutorial. Follow along with us for the entire 12 months, and at the end of 2023, you'll have knitted your own incredibly stunning Advertence shawl/blanket... a shlanket!?! In today's video, I give you some tips to successfully complete the Mosaic knitting sections, and I show you how to work the stitches in Clue #2.

Be sure to sign into your account when downloading the pattern, so when future clues go live, you'll only need to login and re-download the pattern to receive the next clue.

To knit Advertence, you will need 12 differently colored skeins of our luxurious, dreamy soft Mirage Sport yarn or an equivalent amount of yarn/yardage in another sport-weight yarn. For Clue #2, we used Oatmilk Mirage Sport.

Mirage Sport is a beautiful, sport-weight blend of 70% Superwash Merino Wool, 10% Natural Baby Camel, 10% Cashmere, and 10% Mulberry Silk. So unbelievably scrumptious! Luscious and supremely soft with a gorgeous drape and structure. 350 yds/320 m per skein.

Each month, we'll let you know which color we recommend for that clue, but you can also create your own color combination. We DO recommend that you choose colors with a good amount of contrast among them. If using the suggested colors or any other high contrast colors, steam blocking is strongly encouraged to avoid color transfer. We also recommend that you make and wash test swatches for all colors to check for color fastness.

Our colors come and go rapidly, you'll want to grab any that you love!
