If you feel your mat is showing salt sweat lines or if you’re dealing with skin oil + makeup residue, you can clean your Align[MAT] with the following:
In a sanitized, large, mixing bowl —
* Add 6-8 cups warm water (no boiling or hot water)
* Apply 1-2 drops of dawn dish soap (it must be the kind that says it’s safe to use on animals in oil spills and cannot be scented)
* Use a clean wash cloth designated for your mat only, do not cross household cleaning cloths with cleaning your mat (the residue from household cleaners can degrade your natural rubber)
* Submerge a wash cloth in the water and swish around to disperse soap, completely squeeze the cloth out so it’s only damp
* Wipe the surface of your mat down so it’s lightly damp, starting at the top where the TVLA logo is down to the bottom
* Completely air dry (avoid direct sunlight and be mindful what you hang it over to avoid creasing or rust residue)
* NO MAT CLEANERS / NO ESSENTIAL OILS / VINEGAR / DO NOT SHOWER, SUBMERGE, OR HOSE DOWN — THIS WILL “CLOG” THE OPEN CELL PORES IN THE MAT AND MAKE IT FEEL “SLIPPERY")
* NOTE: VITAMIN C PRODUCTS + HYALURONIC ACID + TEA TREE OIL WILL CREATE HOLES IN THE NATURAL RUBBER (we recommend our premium cork Align[MAT] if you tend to use the above products)
