National Quincentennial Committee Executive Director Rene Escalante discusses the Filipino point of view of celebrating the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the world in 2021 before the Portuguese and Filipino scholars at the International Seminar "Magalhães, Magallanes, Magellan: Magellan in Philippine History" on 4 December 2019 at the Sociedade de Geografia de Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal.
The seminar was organized by the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon, in partnership with and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines and the Center of Humanities (CHAM) of the Universidad NOVA Lisboa.
