ACDP Leader, Reverend Kenneth Meshoe, has called on the government to backtrack on its decision to introduce the Single Marriage Bill. Meshoe says the Bill will work against God, putting the country in a dire situation. Party members have painted Church Street, in Pretoria, blue, to show their opposition to the Single Marriage Bill. The public has been asked to comment on the draft legislation, which seeks to rationalise laws in terms of various forms of marriage. In its preamble, the Bill declares that it seeks to recognise marriages entered into regardless of religious, cultural, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or other beliefs.
