An Unforgettable Trip to Muscat City, Oman

I must say that today was the best for me as I explored the cosmopolitan city known as Muscat, Oman which is the capital of Oman, loved for its perfect fusion of old and new. The experience started with a drive on perfect roads in the city that exhibited stunning buildings and amazing sceneries with nature.

Among the activities that took most of my day was exploring the beautiful Mutrah Fort. Located on a summit, this historical structure in the center of the town provided stunning vista of the city and the beautiful Arabian Sea. The ancient fort’s walls were engravings of the other side of Oman’s unparalleled rich past and culture.

Afterward I went to the crowded marketplace called Mutrah Souk, filled with colourful genuine Omani artefacts. The experience was enhanced by the sight and smell of burnings pots of frankincense and other spices. It was interesting to observe how the local population went about their business and the fight to get handmade goods like gorgeous silverware.

Last but not the least, I visited Filipino’s favorite Islam architectural designs, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. I did not even want to leave after experiencing the amazing designs of the mosque and the peaceful environment created within.

I was also impressed by the level of preservation of Muscat’s beauty and greenery and most especially the warm hospitality of its people. The place exhibits a marvelous combination of the ancient and modern world, offering both historical and cultural tourism all in one.

This trip has been an educational sojourn to me given the wonderful experiences I will keep in my mind and admiration of Oman’s culture and nature. I am so excited to bring this experience to the audience back on the Earthdweller Rudra!
