This is the first Peruvian Japanese restaurant in Malaysia, Torito at Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur and helmed by Chef Ivan from Callao, Lima.
Let’s start with Pisco Sour, Peruvian famous cocktail, something I had the most when traveling in Peru. For the food, lets start with Unagi Roll and Salmon Roll. Then, I had the Ceviche Clasico which is a Peruvian classic dish with raw fish in acidic flavor. The Pan de Yuca is probably the best cassava bread ever. I love the duck leg confit and cured duck breast served with coriander rice. Not forgetting the classic Peruvian dish Lomo Saltado of beef with rice.
I can’t forget the taste of Aji with Huancaina and Peruvian donut, Picaron with honeydew ice cream.
I also had the Peras Al Sake and their homemade ice creams.
