Just recently swapped out the 85/15 pups in the Custom 24 for a set of Bare Knuckle Silos! Couldn't think of a better band to test them out on. The Silos are very articulate and have a tight bass response which is perfectly suited to progressive metal. They are also very accurate, meaning they quickly highlighted my need to practice more! Sloppy!
Lead the Light is one of my favorites off of Noir. I'm absolutely in love with the melody and the guitar solo. However, that goes for just about every Novelists track. I would like to eventually cover Heal the Wound among others at some point. At this rate, I'll have the entirety of Noir covered in no time. For those confused by the ocean waves, the shots are from the official Lead the Light lyric video!
It's also worth mentioning that I used the new Axe-Fx tone pack the band just put out for this cover. Specifically, I used the "Lead Tone" patch for the solo, the "Rain Ambient Clean" for the long reverb sections, and the "Studio Clean" for the...you guessed it, clean sections. Stuck with my go-to Mesa Dual Rectifier patch for the rhythms though. I'll link the tone pack below. It's honestly one of the best tone packs I've purchased, with lots of patches to choose from. It's only missing a good bass patch.

Hope the mix sounds ok!
