The cheroot is a cylindrical or conical cigar traditional in Myanmar and India that can be home-made or manufactured. You can find cheroots of different length and diameter made of tobacco, bark, roots, sun dry leaves and sometimes mixed with fruit pulp and spices such as Tamarind and Star of Anice (like in the Inle Lake factory). They are either wrapped in a corn husk tied with a red silk thread either in green leaves glued with sticky rice (the ones I actually tried and found very nice).
Cheroot are smoked by men and women and sometimes even by children.
