There are four subtypes of Sadistic Personality, Enforcing Sadism being one of them. Typical characteristics of sadism include getting pleasure from other people's suffering, controlling through inflicting pain and humiliation and acts of aggression and violence.
One of the traits of Enforcing Sadism includes believing someone has the right to punish and hurt others through a position of authority or moral virtue.
Sadistic personality quite often co occurs with, among other things, narcissistic personality and psychopathy.
