Rajinikanth Mourns SPB Death: RIP SP Balasubrahmanyam Sir, You Have Been My Voice, I Will Truly Miss You...,
Superstar Rajinikanth took to Twitter to mourn the loss of his dear colleague and friend SP Balasubrahmanyam. The legendary singer breathed his last at 1.04 pm at MGM Healthcare Hospital in Chennai. On August 5, he got admitted to the hospital after testing positive for the novel coronavirus. He was put on life support on August 13 after his condition worsened.
Rajinikanth, who has worked with SPB in several films, said that he will miss him and said that he would pray for his soul to rest in peace. Along with his tweet, he shared a video, in which he spoke about his collaboration with SP Balasubrahmanyam.
Sharing the video, Rajinikanth wrote, "#RIP Balu sir ... you have been my voice for many years ... your voice and your memories will live with me forever ... I will truly miss you. Rajinikanth said that SP Balasubrahmanyam always used to think about his fans. He further added that SPB will live on in our memories and through his hit songs.
SP Balasubrahmanyam had sung countless introduction songs for Rajinikanth his films. He was also roped in to sing the introduction song in Rajinikanth's Annaatthe, which has music composed by D Imman. The film, directed by Siruthai Siva, is currently stalled due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
