Black Five 45231 makes only it's second excursion appearance this year, as it hauls the Sugar Loaf Mountaineer from Birmingham to Carmarthen via Shrewsbury ! It was early start for us, but only a 50 minute drive as we head over to one of my favourite stretches of railways aka The Welsh Marches Line ! Just the three angles in this video as we see the Black Five putting down the power as it hit's the bottom of the climb to Church Stretton. A short train on this one, as the tour is heading over the Heart Of Wales Line, which is heavily graded with lots of trees and tight curves !
