Hi everyone! Guess what I did? I actually took a 2 night vacation away from Heart of Gold Sanctuary (though only 45 minutes away in case my horse babies need me!). I'm starting at the romantic Fort Ross Lodge just north of Bodega Bay, California.
The thing I love SO MUCH about this Lodge, is not only that you can actually afford more than one night here, but that not only do you get your own real wood burning fireplace with wood, your own private hot tub on your own private deck, attached to your own private cottage(!), but they also have a generously sized bath tub in the bathroom! This is so dearly important to those of us who work hard and crave a nice Epsom salt soak. There are many luxuries I am required to sacrifice because every dollar I make goes to the horses these days (high rent, high hay prices, ongoing vet bills and never ending list of improvement projects! One of my personal greatest sacrifices is that I do not have a bath tub, I just have a tiny stall shower, so to be here with not only an ocean view hot tub just for me, but also a bath tub for Mermaid soaks is JUST DIVINE!
Other wonderful amenities here are a dry sauna, a community hot tub and the gorgeous gardens!
