Today, we're taking a look at a Titan Chain Clevis Hook with a spring-loaded latch mechanism. This clevis hook attaches to your transport chains, so you can secure the train to a tie down point. It's compatible with Titan Chain Transport Chains TCG70-10-20, TCG70-10-25, and TCG70-10-16. It features this spring-loaded safety latch that keeps the hook from accidentally disconnecting from an anchor point. This is a grade 70 high-carbon steel. It's heat treated for extra durability.
Has nice chromate finishing on it to resist rust and corrosion, and right here we have the clevis pin with the clip. Offers a secure connection point to the actual chain.Now, when it comes to the working load limit, this is 6,600 pounds. The hook opening, I took a measurement of that with that spring-loaded latch mechanism fully open and that gap right there measures about 1". The clevis pin diameter, that gives a measurement of just shy of a 1/2". And the 3/8", that stamp on the hook indicates that this is designed for a chain with 3/8" diameter links.
