This is the recording of the book Cicero wrote on old age. It takes the form of a dialogue, in which, after Scipio and Laelius telling Cato how they admire not only his wisdom, but also the fact that it never seemed to both of them old age to be something bothersome to him, while other old men said they were carrying a weight heavier than the Aetna, Cato exposes his thoughts on old age and while refuting the accusations that are generally made against this age, he shows how the harvest of what has been sown during life can be pleasant and even full of delight. That's why moderation and wisdom is not something to be despised by youth, but planted carefully in view of the future.
