Handley Page Victor XL231 'Lusty Lindy' undertakes a fast taxi run at Elvington airfield near York. 80 kts was attained, usually fast runs are 120-130 kts however the weather precluded the use of the chute so a slower run was made to preserve brake and tyre life. All systems were fully serviceable at the end of the run and the engines performed well!
