This video discusses Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War as a whole text, though I've done several videos about individual portions of the History. Largely my focus here is on Thucydides' historiography--how he approaches telling history--in comparison both to Herodotus (pretty much the only person who had attempted to do what we would now call history before Thucydides) and to modern historiographic norms.
