POP | Pisang Goreng Stall Sedap Air Itam
If you ask any Penangites about the best snacks to eat, they will recommend you to try Air Itam banana fritters, or as locals would call them, Pisang Goreng.

Located at the Air Itam roadside opposite Chung Ling Private High School, you will find a small stall that sells crispy Pisang Goreng, loved by many locals. What makes this such an appetising snack is that their bananas are thinly sliced into pieces before being coated with batter mix with sesame seed and a bit of sweetness to add the flavour.

Once you take a bite of the pisang goreng, you will be greeted by the crispiness of the batter, followed by the sweetness of the banana. The inside is very soft and pleasant, and it is perfect for afternoon snacks or tea time. You can also try the cucur ubi, or cekodok pisang, as it is made with the same batter.

This stall is highly recommended by many locals. For only RM3, you can get a big pack of pisang goreng, very affordable and delicious!
