💸You’re very lucky if you break 6 figures.

✨Screenwriting isn’t what it was in the 90’s where you could make millions on a spec script. These days, most writers work on assignment or in development.

✍️If you write a tv spec (a script thats yours written on your own for free) it’s a calling card for writing assignments or your show actually getting picked up for development.

✅ Development doesn’t mean you get the green light. That’s a whole other process - but hey, you get paid!

🤑How much screenwriters get paid depends on union and non-union. Assuming union, and you’re a relatively new writer, check out your guild’s minimums.
