WHAT?! A porsche 356 once owned by Jerry Seinfeld on Wicked Classic Cars? That's right! I stumbled upon this beautiful porsche 356 speedster owned by a new client of mine who bought it from Jerry Seinfeld. Ralph Lauren has also owned this million dollar matching numbers 356 Speedster. This is a true piece of history, this IS NOT the green porsche 356 that Jerry Seinfeld was sued over for it being fake, this is the real deal. This is a one million dollar car, the new owner put a fresh $100k paint job on it and then paid us a nice chunk of change to work on this gorgeous history porsche. I am going to also do a pseudo official Artdeshine Nano Graphene coating review as well. I was super excited to work on this car and at first I was nervous but then it was not too bad, flat surfaces, not much stuff to damage really.

They told me it just had been detailed and I had to explain that I was there to do something more serious lol. I washed the car down with Feynlab pure rinse less wash, opened up a fresh fine grade clay bar from Shine Supply and then used shine supply shine mist as my clay lubricant. I cleaned up the wheels and polished with shine supply cloud 9 metal polish before topping off with a Si02 detail spray I mixed up and then covered with my wheel covers to protect from compound dust. I then blew out the car with my air blower to get water out of the cracks prior to polishing.

I am going to do a two step paint correction, at first I tried to start out with a one step correction on a meguiars microfiber finishing pad with shine supply classic cut and classic polish but soon learned that was not going to cut it on this very thick repaint. This cars paint measurements read over 500 on my elcometer paint gauge and for some reason my video of me measuring paint on tik tok went viral and got almost 1.2 million views on this porsche 356 speedster. I switched to a meguiars microfiber cutting pad and just shine supply classic cut and got to work compounding out the body shop left over imperfections. I did a final polish using shine supply classic polish on lake country orange foam cutting pads and then wiped the car down using a panel prep spray containing alcohol, feynlab pure rinseless wash and water to remove oils and other contaminants left over prior to protecting the vehicle with graphene coating.

So now I am going to do a little mini review and demo on Artdeshine Nano Graphene coating, this is a new coating to the market from Alfred Yow, it is easy to apply, professional grade, hydrophobic, chemical and water resistant, super slick and glossy, easy to clean and all the great properties that most coatings art but this coating contains reduced graphite oxide in a small quantity which is supposed to make it more resilient to water spotting and light chemical etching. The artdeshine graphene coating is a mixed of reduced graphite oxide RGo and PDMS, it would be considered a 7H hardness. Ceramic coatings retain heat easily which lead to etching in your paint from bird poop, tree sap, and other chemicals and hard water spot when they heat up in the sun. When Graphene heats up in the sun, it retains less heat so the etching will not as bad. That is the purpose of graphene to reduce water spotting by up to 50%. I have been using the white label version SPS graphene for over a year now and it has held up well and I have seen a slight reduction in chemical and water damage as they claim. Some companies are going crazy with graphene and acting as though its some new crazy strengthener for ceramic coatings when its a totally different thing entirely. People also frequently say "Sprinkle some graphene in it" as reference to making fun of everyone on the graphene coating technology train. Graphene is pretty cool, I like it. IT works. Its not bulletproof though just like with any other coating.
