Do you like Pi̱a Coladas and getting caught in the rain? Making love at midnight and cheesy love song refrains? Here's how to satisfy your tropical thirst -- for the other stuff, check a dating service.
Step 1: Pour into blender
Pour the rum, crème of coconut, and fresh pineapple into the blender.
Tip
3 oz. of canned pineapple will work just as well, but rinse it in cold water first to get rid of that canned flavor. If you’re really desperate, use pineapple juice.
Step 2: Blend
Add the ice and blend on high for about 15 seconds, or until you don’t hear the ice cubes rattling anymore. Your drink should look smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Pour into glass
Pour the drink into the glass.
Tip
For some added zing, float a half a shot of dark rum or a fruit liqueur into your drink by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon.
Step 4: Garnish
Garnish with a Maraschino cherry, pineapple slice, and—for the full tropical effect—a tiny paper umbrella.
Did You Know?
The Piña Colada is the official drink of Puerto Rico—though an earlier version originated in Cuba.
