One man's food is the other man's poison. So we cannot have a common rule for all the patients. But there are list of food items which is commonly seen to aggravate in many cases of eczema, psorasis and urticaria. Like for example it is seen that citrus fruits lemon orange mosambi. Sometimes even acidic fruits like pomegranate pineapple trigger lot of cases of psoriasis. Though you don't have any medical evidence these fruits are definitely going to aggravate all cases of psoriasis. Some cases have been found to have an aggravation in our internal studies at the clinic and also by many other homeopathic doctors and naturopathy doctors they have seen these foods can aggravate certain skin problems. Urticaria specifically has got an aggravation from certain foods like seafoods, nonvegetarian, tomatoes, brinjal, drumstick and sometimes even eggs and dairy products are known to aggravate. Seafood especially prawns crabs are known to aggravate many cases of urticaria. Particularly is the allergic skin condition nowadays it is quite common. Post covid we are seeing a huge rise in cases of urticaria where every day at least 5 to 10 cases of urticaria come to us where the patients develop rashes they start scratching and the skin swells up it stays there for about few minutes and then it disappears. So this condition is again and an allergic skin condition whereas in eczema and psorasis there is an immune system involvement where your immune system is doing damage to your own skin. Psoriasis is a little more intense and in this condition also citrus fruits and sour foods are known to aggravate this condition. We have also seen that red meat containing arachidonic acid has a tendency to aggravate skin problems like psoriasis. In naturopathy they do use these dietary restrictions especially if you're allergic to certain foods like corn, peanut, maida or if you are allergic to milk products it's better to keep away from these things whether it is eczema or whether it is psoriasis.
