Are you interested in the outdoors and like to draw and paint? View these incredible young artists' entries who have entered the 2011 Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest. The 2011 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest was held at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge outside Philadelphia on April 15. In addition to the judging of these beautiful works of art, there were lots of other wildlife educational activities such as waterfowl carving, bird watching, art education and interpretive walks along the shores of Tinicum marsh. Beautiful John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge is located on the outskirts of Philadelphia, and is a place to enjoy the outdoors for local residents, and national and international visitors, as well as thousands of migrating birds and waterfowl. Over the years, the refuge has become a place to feed and breed for more than 300 species of birds, 85 of which nest here. Fox, deer, muskrat, turtles, fish, frogs and a wide variety of wildflowers and plants are among the species that call the refuge "home". The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Program is a wonderful way to help youth learn about wildlife and conservation through art education..
