2023 is around the corner and Nigerians are preparing to go to the polls again.
To improve the electoral process, lawmakers at the National Assembly have decided to amend the electoral act.
But President Muhammadu Buhari has declined assent to the new document. He cited direct primaries proposed in the amendment as being too expensive and not in the interest of Nigerians. He has asked the National Assembly to rework the bill and return for assent.
