Everest high passes trek is one of the challenging trekking routes in the Everest region. Crossing three passes over 5,000m, each offering amazing scenery includes mt Everest without the commitment of any technical climbing. Heading towards Everest cross the Kongma La pass 5,535 m to the Everest Base Camp 5364m and Kala Pattar 5545m. And then over the Cho La pass 5,420 m to the alpine pastures and lakes of Gokyo. From Gokyo Ri 5357m we gain further outstanding views of Everest before heading over the Renjo La pass 5345m with views into Tibet, to the wild upper Bhote Kosi. This trek traverses the entire Everest region and provides all the highlights you would expect with a mixture of local villages and Sherpa culture. If you are highly motivated and want to experience the absolute best of what the Everest region has to offer, then this is the trek for you.
16 to 20 days long Everest Three Passes trek is without the doubt very tiring and challenging. To complete this trek you should be physically fit. As well as mental fitness is also very important. Average fitness might be not enough to complete this trek. Getting well prepared, training before the trek, right trekking gear, enough acclimatization, and a good guide is very important to complete this trek without pain.

Yes, there is a high chance you might get symptoms of altitude sickness in this trek. The high possibility of getting altitude sickness is due to the lack of proper acclimatization. Trek slow walking with following your own pace, drinking enough fluid to keep hydrate your body, and having enough acclimatization is the main key to avoiding altitude sickness and it’s very important. As you are doing high altitude trek in the Everest region, weather is unpredictable you should be careful while you are planning to do this trek, As an experienced guide, I would recommend doing Everest high pass trek during April and May in the Spring season and Oct and Nov. in autumn season for better weather. The bad weather condition on trek increases the Difficulty level of this trek.
Trekking in the high altitude you need to be well prepared for what to pack and what not for your trek? Carry too much or too little can put you in difficulties. During the trek, we have a pretty wide selection of the food items on the trekking tea houses menus which are originated and prepared by the local community, the names of the most common meals of the region as given below.
Accommodations during the trek are basic. The room comes with a twin bed, a common bathroom, and a big dining area where you can charge your electronic devices too. And enjoy the hot stove burning by the yak poop.
