Mercedes-AMG has announced an extensive upgrade to its compact Performance SUV, the GLA 45 S 4MATIC+. The vehicle now boasts visual and technical enhancements both inside and out. One of the standout features is the redesigned front apron accompanied by the AMG crest on the bonnet. The entire lighting system now employs LED technology, with the new light signature for the headlights and rear lights adding a touch of sophistication. The MULTIBEAM LED main headlights are also available as an optional feature.
From a side view, the wheel arch extensions, now painted in the body color, accentuate the SUV's robust nature. The 20-inch wheels and red brake calipers come as standard, while the round twin tailpipe trim and the roof's spoiler lip signify the model as the most potent in the GLA lineup. Inside, the latest generation of the AMG Performance steering wheel is standard, complemented by the AMG steering wheel buttons with bright displays. The MBUX infotainment system has been enhanced with an AMG-specific screen design and an expanded range of functions, including wireless interfacing with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In terms of exterior and interior options, the GLA 45 S 4MATIC+ offers three new light-alloy wheels. The interior can be customized with new upholstery covers for the standard sports seats or the optional AMG Performance seats. New color options for the ARTICO artificial leather include Sage Grey/Black and Red Pepper/Black. Additionally, open-pore lime wood in brown is now available for the trim elements.
Under the hood, the GLA 45 S 4MATIC+ is powered by a robust AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine, delivering 310 kW (421 hp). This compact SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, with a top speed capped at 270 km/h. The engine's power is transmitted through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The standard driving program RACE and the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+ with AMG TORQUE CONTROL ensure a dynamic driving experience.
