Hi folks, a brand new flight video, on one of Luton Airport's new(ish) airlines, having started up this route back in April. I thought for some time and decided I should try out the route, both to experience a flight with Transavia, as well as visit Paris Orly for a day of spotting on their panorama terrace. That was enjoyable, plenty of movements as well! So look out for that video in the coming days.
Apologies for a few shaky bits of footage, and bits being out of focus in places - Due to having a dirty seat at first, but half way through the flight I swapped seats to get a cleaner window (The flight had about 50 passengers on at most, so plenty of spare seats available). This flight was on 28-09-16, on a beautiful sunny morning, well in England until we reached France, so a beautiful scenic departure over the counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and more to see! Following that, we vacated the British Isles to the South East, where you'll see a good view of the South Coast, Southampton and Portsmouth, and the Isle of Wight, before heading out into the channel for France. A less scenic approach on landing due to the cloud layer, but once we breach that, a good view of Paris to the north, and a nice firm touchdown at Orly.
Reviewing the airline, Transavia France, I would recommend them, they are a good airline, good legroom, nice looking interior and fabric seats, staff were very friendly and gave a good service (Although I did not purchase anything this time due to the short flight), however my one concern with them would have been to clean their windows haha! The flight was delayed by about 30 minutes due to congestion at the airport, but it was nothing major to my concern, maybe to others though. Affordable fare as well, £50 return, definitely a bargain. If this route never existed, I would have had to fly with BA from LHR to Orly, with a much higher price. So I was definitely pleased.
* I did not film the return flight as we did have a problem, due to the flight being full, the airline had to reorganise some passenger seating to balance the weight. As it was just me and my camcorder, I was considered a light passenger, so my seat was swapped from 9A to 5A. A bit too far from the engine and wing to get a good video, and also instead of being infront of a window, I was infront of the division between the two windows, so it was rather difficult to attempt to film. On top of that the flight was an hour delayed, to which the sun had set and created a beautiful sunset! Gutted to of missed filming, but got plenty of pictures :D
