The 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 takes the German car-maker’s more convincing new second-generation small luxury SUV to new heights.

Packing a perky 225kW/400Nm turbo-petrol engine and eight-speed dual-clutch auto, AMG’s smallest SUV – and its first compact crossover – is not cheap at $83,000, but does pack a big punch.
