In this video, I share the Apple feature Universal Control, to control your Mac and iPad by sharing your keyboard and mouse. Also, gives you the ability to share certain file types.
I didn't think this was going to be a big deal or even really improve my workflow.
When utilizing the iPad working with your Mac, Sidecar has been the main feature to have your iPad as an additional monitor.
Working from home, having the iPad running its own iPad OS and controlling it seamlessly with one keyboard and mouse that was connected to a mac was amazing. It isn't revolutionary and is actually a simple concept.
This feature has given new life to my older aging iPad Pro 10.5 inch utilizing specific iOS apps that I rather do on my iPad versus my Mac.
The great thing is, that Universal Control can be used with multiple Macs and iPads for whatever your workflow requires. For example, you can zoom and have your notes on your iPad without worrying about sharing the wrong screen or app etc.
You can use timers on your iPad and have your mac not waste any resources and just have your working applications to get all the power from your mac on what you are focusing on.
There are many ways to utilize universal control. I share my experience with the beta version and can't wait to see this out of beta.
