Today is Scooby Doo’s 52nd birthday, produced from 1969 to the present the original series, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, for Hanna-Barbera Productions aired every Saturday-morning featuring teenagers Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, and Shaggy Rogers, and their talking Great Dane named Scooby-Doo, who solve mysteries involving supernatural creatures and spooky adventures.
5 Decades later it is still a fan favorite. So in honor of this special day we are counting down my favorite toys and products produced from this show!

Scooby doo board game 1973

Early Scooby-Doo merchandise included a 1973 Milton Bradley board game, decorated lunch boxes, iron-on transfers, coloring books, story books, records, underwear, and other such goods. This game was one of the first promotional items for the tv series.
Theres a track that starts at the bottom of the board near the Mystery Machine, continues inside a "castle", and has various instructions on certain spaces. The winner of the game is the first player who follows Scooby and finds the "hidden treasure".
Burger king 1996
Scooby-Doo merchandising tapered off during the late 1980s and early 1990s, but increased after the series' revival on Cartoon Network in 1995. Back in 1996 Burger King partnered up with Hannah Barbara to promote the Animated television series Scooby-Doo was the toy line lasted from August 19 to September 15, 1996. The toys available were a Poseable Scooby-Doo, a Racing Coffin, a Running Scared Scooby and Shaggy, no ones favorite Scrappy-Doo and The Mystery Machine
In 2000, Equity Marketing released their first Scooby-Doo action figures earlier in the year to a resounding success. The action figures joined an already extensive product line that included several plush items. This terrific replica of the Scooby gangs van comes with 2 5" scale articulated action figures, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy. The Mystery Machine, too, is just a great toy that many fans were hoping for since 1969. It even had plenty of run for the rest of the gang in the back seat.
2002 was a huge year for Scooby and the gang, this was because the new live action was releasing as well as the new show “Whats new Scooby doo” was aired on on September 14, 2002. The first product I remember from this year was the first Cinnamon Marshmallow Scooby-Doo! breakfast cereal made by Kellogg's It was sold from 2002 to 2008, and rebranded in 2013 as Scooby-Doo!
The next set of toys were from James Gun’s live action movie. Released on June 17, 2002 and grossed $275 million worldwide. There were a few toys produced and released at Toys R us exclusively. Today they are extremely hard to find and super rare and expensive, but a great find for the die hard fans of this franchise.
In 2002 and 2004, Mattel released Scooby-Doo versions of Barbie characters that were released based on the two theatrical films. They had Ken dress up as both Fred and Shaggy. Skipper as Velma and Barbie as Daphne, she also came with an exclusive Scooby plush doll.
Back in 2002 Dairy Queen was partnering with Warner Bros. Pictures in promoting the combination live-action movie/ cgi "Scooby-Doo". For its promotion, Dairy Queen turned into Scooby Central during the month of June with custom Scooby-Doo toys, Scooby-designed frozen cakes, and a limited-time Scooby-Doo Mystery Crunch Blizzard Flavor Treat, geared to kids and served in a special 12-ounce Scooby cup.
Now here is a line of toys I missed when I was little, back in 2000 I remember seeing Scooby and all his pals and villains at Toys R Us and everywhere else. They were great figures and the sculpts were incredible for an animated line at the time. The monsters were my the best, with fan favorites such as Ghost clown, mr hyde, dracula and red beard.
Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed premiere, Burger King is launching a collection of five themed toys. Each BK Scooby-Doo Get a Clue Toy includes a double-sided clue card. Using their clue cards and Scooby-Doo toys, kids can reveal the hidden images and puzzles. The promotion will be available in participating U.S. restaurants while supplies last.The agreement also includes a master license from Warner Bros. to design, produce and market toys based on the upcoming live-action comedy adventure, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, which opens in theaters nationwide on March 26.
The last one is the 2020 Scooby-Doo Adventure in the Mystery Mansion playset. It is the biggest and the most exciting toy ive ever seen from this franchise. This massive, dual-level, 360-degree playset comes with multiple figures including scooby and the gang. I wish i had something like this as a kid, it is incredible
