USC closed out 2018 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship with the men's 4x400m relay team of Zach Shinnick, Rai Benjamin, Ricky Morgan Jr. and Michael Norman shattering the school and facility record and setting the NCAA indoor record and IAAF ratified world record with a time of 3:01.98. Their time was also just .02 seconds shy of the USA indoor record of 3:01.96 set in 2006, which was not a ratified time and not recognized by the IAAF. The amazing thing is that the second-place team Florida (3:02.23) also broke the previous collegiate record and third-place Texas A&M was less than a second behind.
