Because of the famous movie Whiplash about a drummer and his teacher,the song Caravan is one I get requested all the time to do. On this very hot sunday Florida day in the middle of July, I got to play Caravan with these two great jazz musicians.On bass is the amazing Hiram Hazley and the superb Judi Glover on piano. So many of the great drummers of the past and present like Buddy Rich,Dave Weckl,Gene Krupa,Steve Smith,Jo Jones,Louie Bellson,Jeff Hamilton have all played this great drum feature song"Caravan" which is composed by Juan Tizol and Duke Ellington.Here I`m playing on my 1970 Slingerland classic drums and 70`s A Zildjian cymbals on this very hot July day in St.Pete Beach ,Florida. The band was hot and I enjoyed so much playing with these great musicians.
