Steel is the world’s most widely used material – from buildings to bridges, scissors to saucepans, cars to wind turbines, it’s found in almost every aspect of our lives. But unfortunately steelmaking is currently one of the biggest emitters of CO2 globally, despite the fact that technologies exist for its production to be decarbonised.

In this informative panel discussion to mark the launch of SteelZero - a global initiative by the Climate Group and ResponsibleSteel, bringing together businesses to drive transformation in the steel sector - we hear from leaders and experts on the role that organisations can play in driving demand for responsible materials, and explore why decarbonising steelmaking is not only possible, but critical for getting the world on track to net zero.
