The tyrannides of this era are known as the ancient tyrannies, in contrast to the newer tyranny, which occurs in the late classical and mainly Hellenistic times.
From ancient sources, tyranny is not considered a constitution but a deviation, nor a theoretical legitimacy, nor was it accepted in practice. Of course, tyranny did not cease to exist during the classical era, but the regions in which it existed were specific: the Greek cities of Asia Minor, the 6th and the early 5th century, because of the Persian influence and, secondly, the archaic and classical Sicily, where it is historically explained due to the continuing problems with the Carthage, who colonized the northern part of the island.
The context of the emergence of tyranny, the assumption, in other words of the exercise of power by a person, during the archaic period is comprised of the internal contradictions between nobles for the occupation of the axioms.
