From Kottayam reach Illikal Junction. Turn left on Tiruwarp Road. Malarikal is the place where the Kanjiram Bridge goes up and down through the Kanjiram Boat Jetty Road. Those coming from Kumarakat should reach Illikal and turn right and go along Tiruwarp Road. Kanjiram Malarikal can be reached by traveling 9 km from Kumarakam and 7.5 km from Kottayam.
Malarikal Sun Set Point is the best place to watch the sunrise and sunset. Kumarakam's unique rural beauty and natural scenes make the view even more brilliant. You can go to Kollad and Ampattukadam near Malarikal to see amber flowers. Flower season is just coming in Ampattukadu and one can see flowers in Ampattukadu till November.
