On the weekend of April 14-16, 2023, the Severn Valley Railway hosted their annual Spring Steam Gala. This year's event featured eight steam locomotives in operation each day, pulling a variety of passenger and goods wagons representing different eras of British railways. This video was filmed on the drizzly morning of Sunday the 16th, primarily on the northern end of the line at Eardington and Highley.

The headliners of the event were three visiting engines:
GWR 4079 'Pendennis Castle' from the Didcot Railway Centre
GWR 4555 from the Dartmouth Steam Railway
and BR 78018 from the Great Central Railway
