Adam: Hi everyone, Adam, with Etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Titan Chain Snow Tire chain on our 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. These metal alloy chains are going to be able to withstand quite a bit of wear and tear. They're going to last a very long time. It is a square link style along with a diamond pattern. It's going to have more surface area than most of those ladder pattern tire chains.

This does actually come with a built in tensioning system. So you don't have to purchase one separately. It's going to go through both of these red little circles there, and then it's going to clip up top here and that's going to make sure that you're going to keep that tension when you're going down the road. These are going to come with a nice carrying case, which is a little bit better than those canvas bags that you may get.Those do tear over time. I've found this is a very durable and nice storage case for both of them.

And it does come in a pair of two. If you we're going to use it for four wheel drive applications, you could just purchase the same exact part number, and then you'll be able to put them on all four of your tires. Is this an SAE class S certified chain, which is going to accommodate for all those SUV's that have a little bit less wheel-well clearance than this pickup does. So this smaller link style chain is going to have a smoother ride. It's going to be probably in like the mid-class of these tire chains.

It's not too aggressive, as the aggressive ones do tend to wear down more frequently. This is going to last a long time, but if you are going to use some extreme off-road conditions, I do suggest getting a more aggressive chain. So usually when you're putting tire chains on, it's probably likely that the weather's not going to be too good. This is a very quick and easy installation compared to most tire chains. And I'm going to show you how to do that right now.

So the first thing you're going to want to do is lay out your chains and make sure that there's no kinks in any of the links and that everything is laying nice.And once you do that, you can go ahead and feed this side through behind your tire. Once you do that, you grab those ends, come back behind your tire and link that in. And then once you do that, you can go ahead and start draping these chains over. Be sure to get the middle of the diamond pattern in the middle of your tire. And of course, just make sure it's nice and even on both sides. Once everything's nice and even you can go ahead and take this blue clip, clip it on there, be sure to get that in the middle. And then what we can do is we can use our tensioning tool, which is going to go on the inside of this red little sleeve here. You're going to pull it tight.And once it's tight, you can start fishing in through these two red loops. And then you just go ahead and link it on to your yellow chain. And you want to be sure to face this part out just as these links right here are facing out as well. And it's as simple as that. You can repeat this process on the other side, and if you have four wheel drive, repeat that process on every wheel. You do want to roll over them a couple of times, and then you want to go and check and make sure everything's nice and tight. And if not, you'll make those adjustments.
