Maybe it's gross, maybe it looks like a rat, but it's surprisingly good. And I love eating weird things! As far as I know, they also eat it in Peru and Colombia, and probably some other countries as well.

When you're exploring Ecuador, definitely give cuy a chance! You won't regret it if you like trying exotic things.

I went to an area outside Quito to get this, the taxi driver took me to a place in the south close to Sangolqui. The name of the neighborhood is Barrio Selva Alegre.
