Modes are cool. *But* they can be confusing. The best way I know to teach them is by asking myself questions, and then answering them:
1) What is the "Parent Key" of this mode?
2) Is this mode Major or Minor?
3) In what way is this mode different than standard Major or Minor Scales?
4) What is the appropriate "Groove Context" for this mode?
