Hi everyone! Today in Thailand, I'm going to show you some of the celebrations happening around Bangkok for Chinese New Year or the Lunar New Year as it's also known and also some information about this special occasion. Chinatown in Bangkok (Yaowarat Road) is one of the largest Chinatown's in the entire world and it's safe to say it's very busy at the best of times but even more so when celebrating their new year. It was fascinating to see just how many people got involved whether that was participating in shows, hanging decorations or simply just by wearing the colour red. This year is the year of the dragon and that has many attributes which I explain in this video. I hope you enjoy the video and perhaps learn something that you didn't already know - even better, why don't you plan a visit to Bangkok for next years celebrations? 😀
