The Belize Companies and Corporate Affairs Registry (BCCAR) is touring the country this week with a special workshop for non-profit and non-governmental organizations. The sensitization workshop is aimed at familiarizing these organizations with registration and compliance matters. The first of the four sessions was held in Corozal today. Deputy Registrar Santiago Gonzalez said that the sessions take a special focus on non-profit organizations that are now governed by new legislation.
Day two of the workshop will be held tomorrow in Belize City, day three in Belmopan on Thursday, and day four will be held in Punta Gorda on Friday./
