The Avett Brothers perform the title song from their new album "I and Love and You" on the Late Show with David Letterman 09-28-09

The Avett Brothers hail from Concord, North Carolina and have been playing their unique blend of country punk, "grungegrass," and pop for several years. They have done it the old-fashioned way, working their way, playing shows, winning fans one at a time, often by word of mouth.

Their first "big label" album "I and Love and You" was just released Tuesday, September 29, 2009.

The Avett Brothers- one of the most talked about up-and-coming bands of 2009, and sure to be on the scene for many years to come.
