• Zilla Parishad -at District Level. •Panchayat Samiti -at The Block Level
• Gram Panchayat -The Village Level.
• Rajasthan was the first state to establish Gram Panchayat
• 73rd amendment,1992
• The President of Gram Panchayat is called Pradhan or Sarpanch
• Panchayat member is also known as Panch
• 1/3 rd seat reserve for women
• this Act is active from 2nd Oct ,1959
• Gram Panchayat is a Basic Govering institutes in Indian Village
• It is political Institute
• the member of the Gram Panchayat are elected directly by the people.
