young boy finally met his mother today, but his heart sank when she didn’t recognize him. He had grown up without her by his side, knowing only the stories of how she had left when he was just a little child. One day, a neighbor told him about a woman in the city who looked just like her. Determined, he approached a man from his village who worked in the city, pleading for help. Without hesitation, the boy handed over every bit of money he had worked so hard to earn, begging the man to take him to her. The man looked at him with heavy eyes and eventually agreed. When the boy finally saw his mother, her reaction shattered him. She met his gaze with cold eyes and words that struck like a stranger’s. He couldn’t believe his ears. With trembling hands, he pulled out a drawing of the two of them from years ago and a small gift she had given him when he was little. But the woman remained distant, rejecting him once again.
