Top US disease expert Dr Anthony Fauci has apologised after suggesting UK authorities may have rushed their authorisation of a vaccine for COVID-19.
It comes after Dr Fauci in an interview criticised regulators for not acting as carefully as the US Food and Drug Administration.
Dr Fauci has taken back his comments and insisted he only meant that US authorities do things differently from their British counterparts rather than better.
