The Chrism Eucharist is the occasion where ordained ministers, bishops, priests and deacons, gather at the cathedral to renew their ordination vows. In recent years, Readers have also come to the service to have their ministries affirmed. Traditionally, it is also the service where the Bishop blesses the holy oils used in the Church’s ministry.

Truro Cathedral is a self-funded organisation and relies on public donations to meet costs, especially after having been significantly financially affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
