The number seven is considered lucky in games of chance, and it was certainly the case this week, where seven shocked IV17 0QP residents scooped the £25,000 Street Prize from the Peoples Postcode Lottery.
Street Prize Presenter Angus Purden had a real sense of déjà vu when he appeared in Alness clutching cheques under his arm, film crew in tow.
Angus said Alness is an award winning village, and now its a double-winner when it comes to Peoples Postcode Lottery- we were here just a few months back, in April, delivering £30,000 to the town just in time for Easter!
Elizabeth Bain and Christine Shields won £8,334 between them - and the win didnt cost them a penny. They were both playing with promotional free tickets, and its certainly paid off! 69-year-old Christine said of her win I just about fainted! I was shaking and could hardly speak - I have to keep looking at my cheque to remind myself it's really happening!
Neighbour Elizabeth was also bowled over by her win - and with three children and eight grandchildren, were sure shell have lots of things to spend it on! Ill have a wee holiday! she laughed, and, like Christine, shes planning on some home improvements too.
With eight big winners on one street, retired winner Duncan Mcintosh exclaimed It was brilliant! My wife Jenny and I will pay off our overdraft and take our granddaughter out for a slap-up meal.
What a day for Braeface! On being asked why she signed up, Christine, who donates to a number of causes, gave a succinct reply: Its a Scottish lottery and thats the long and short of it- its a brilliant way to support our Scottish charities.
