One of the most amazing caves in Brazil, Lapa Doce is certainly one of the tours that should be on your route through Chapada Diamantina. Even better if combined with the Fazenda Prathina and the Gruto Azul. Video 147
Along with a nice tour guide, flashlights were provided. Total walking time was about 90 minutes going slow and letting the kids explore. There are some short steep parts but it’s definitely doable for young kids and older folks. The cave itself was large, open, airy and safe. We loved it. After lunch, we ate at the onsite restaurant. It is a nice buffet with lots of seating.
