A visit to Grand Teton Nat’l Park is not complete without riding the multi-purpose pathway along Teton Park Road. The park boasts dozens of miles of pathway on this beautifully maintained paved path that stretches for miles from Jackson, WY north through Grand Teton Nat’l Park and past several of its most loved attractions. On this ride, we pick up our electric assist rental bikes early morning at Dornans Adventure Sports located at Moose Junction and ride several miles to The Taggart Lake Trailhead where we hiked the 4 mile loop. The hike is a fairly easy trail with little elevation gain. The second half of the loop starts with a short section of considerable elevation on rocky terrain but more caution should be taken due to this loop’s desolate section. It’s 2 1/2 miles of isolation on narrow trails with a low ditch on the right, towering trees and thick brush immediately on the left. Definitely a good idea to make noise, stay alert and carry bear spray. After the hike we return to our electric bikes to continue on the pathway. We ride along the most picturesque scenery imaginable. The colors are as magnificent as they appear in this video. The best day ever.
