A bit of a brown pants moment for me while driving up to Brissy on the M1...
The most important thing - stay in control and don't make any sudden jerking movements. It's OK to drive slowly on a blown tyre for a few hundred metres on the shoulder until you reach a safe protected spot (e.g. behind an Armco barrier) to change it, which is what I did after getting out and inspecting the damage.
Drove about 100km to Brisbane and luckily they had a tyre shop open on Sunday. Would have been a sketchy 1000km drive back on a space saver spare doing a max 80km/h otherwise!
