Jorge Luis Sotelo, MD, is the Psychiatry Residency Program Director at Memorial Healthcare System. His vision for the program includes providing innovative education experiences where psychiatry residents can thrive, while also benefiting a part of the country where there is a physician and psychiatry shortage.

Psychiatry residents work at Memorial Regional Hospital, which has its own psychiatric emergency room.

Residents benefit from seeing patients who are admitted into a medical and surgical environment, as well as learning in Memorial’s culture of patient- and family-centered care.
